早稲田大学W-SPRINGプログラムとアントレプレナーシップセンター(WASEDA-EDGE人材育成プログラム)は、米国スタンフォード大学d.schoolの講師3名による「デザイン思考を活用したアイデア創出ワークショップ」を開催しました。このワークショップには、文系・理系の修士・博士課程の学生33名が参加しました。
2日間のワークショップはすべて英語で行われました。参加者は神楽坂、九段下などに分かれて街の様子を観察するフィールドワークや身近なものを使ったプロトタイプづくり、バナナを他の物に見立てて広告を作成するワークなどを通じて創造力を磨きました。
The W-SPRING Program and the Center for Entrepreneurship (WASEDA-EDGE Global Talent Development Program) at Waseda University invited three lecturers from the Stanford University d.school for an idea creating workshop utilizing design thinking methodology. The workshop was attended by 33 master and doctoral students from both the humanities and sciences. During the two-day, all-English workshop, participants honed their creative skills through field work, team exercises and prototyping using familiar objects.
Thomas Both
Working with both students and professionals, Thomas has co-designed and co-led immersive hands-on experiences, including the Design Thinking Bootcamp executive workshop and various iterations of a d.school fundamentals course called Design Thinking Studio. From these programs, he co-developed methodologies and created free public resources such as the Bootcamp Bootleg. Thomas earned a master’s degree in design from Stanford after a previous career as a mechanical engineer.
David Janka
Before starting a career in design, David was immersed in science and medicine, studying chemistry as an undergraduate and researching HIV in virology labs. He received his medical degree from Stanford University, where he focused on infectious diseases and spent a year as a clinical research fellow in Kampala, Uganda. Over the past decade, he has been a Stanford d.school fellow and taught graduate courses on design thinking and its application to complex systems in healthcare, the developing world, public
Scott Witthoft
Scott has previously held faculty roles at Stanford University and The University of Texas at Austin. His courses include topics on design thinking and prototyping physical spaces & behaviors. Scott has an undergraduate degree in civil engineering and graduate degrees in structural engineering and product design.
